Method

  1. Preheat your oven grill to medium-high⁠ Line a baking tray with baking paper⁠ Mix all spices together with oil and rub all over onions and fish.
  2. Lay your marinated fish and onions on the lined baking tray, sitting the fish on top of the onions⁠ Grill for approximately 10 minutes or until the fish is flaking slightly and cooked through.⁠
  3. Mix all ingredients for your tahini dressing in a bowl until well combined⁠.
  4. Best served hot with a squeeze of lemon juice, a drizzle of creamy tahini dressing and alongside some sticky caramelised sweet potato wedges and crunchy Israeli salad!⁠

Ingredients

  • 300 g firm white fish cubed (cod or alike)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tbsp allspice
  • 1/2 tbso ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (spicy – optional)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 50 g tahini
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
