All food items are approved by the London Beth Din before reaching our shelves. Since there are hundreds of kashrut symbols of varying standards worldwide, our dedicated mashgiach (kashrut inspector) determines which items are acceptable by the Beth Din’s standards.
The Beth Din update us on changes in status to items we stock, and ensure we are informed about product recalls in good time. It is still important for customers to check individual products to ensure the kashrut is in line with their personal standards.
A mashgiach visits our greengrocery section daily to check the deliveries, taking maaser from Israeli produce as required. According to LBD guidelines, we don’t sell produce prone to major infestation in the fresh or frozen sections.
